KINGS TONIGHT

Share

Opponent--San Jose Sharks.

Site--Forum.

Time--5.

TV--Channel 9.

Radio--XTRA (690).

Records--Kings 26-43-11, Sharks 27-46-8.

Record vs. Sharks--1-3.

King update--This game is important only because the teams are jockeying for position in the draft. The Kings have not won in seven games since defeating San Jose, 2-1, at the Forum on March 22. Forward Glen Murray, who was acquired from Pittsburgh last month, has scored goals in three of the last four games. Goaltender Jamie Storr, 0-1-1 this season, is expected to start tonight. The Kings are 17-15-7 at home this season.

Shark update--Like the Kings, San Jose has played well against the best teams in the league but has struggled against everyone else. The Sharks have won their season series against Colorado and Dallas, the top two teams in the NHL. Goalie Wade Flaherty made 37 saves in a 4-1 victory over the Avalanche on Wednesday for the Sharks’ third consecutive win over the defending Stanley Cup champion.
