Cancer Survivor Hurt in Car Crash

An 8-year-old Bolivian girl who found lifesaving treatment for bone cancer at a Memphis hospital was hurt in a car accident that killed her father and younger sister. Gabriela Salinas, who received her last bone cancer treatment in January, was in the family’s car when it flipped on Interstate 40 east of Memphis. Gabriela, her twin brother Alejandro and brother Omar Jr., 1, suffered minor injuries.
