Deputies to Enforce Greenmeadow Avenue’s Speed Limit
In response to residents’ complaints of drivers going too fast on their street, the Sheriff’s Department’s Thousand Oaks Traffic Bureau has designated Greenmeadow Avenue its Traffic Tip of the Week.
Beginning today and running through Saturday, deputies will actively enforce the 25-mph speed limit.
Greenmeadow Avenue connects with Newbury Road to the west and Yellowstone Avenue to the east and crosses Lynn Road.
“The area is a residential neighborhood with child pedestrian traffic and numerous residential driveways adjacent to the roadway,” said Sheriff’s Sgt. Ken Bailey.
Bailey said the intent of the Traffic Tip of the Week program is to reduce accidents in the city.
