Assemblyman Scott Opens Local Office

Assemblyman Jack Scott (D-Pasadena) has established a sub-field office at the Sunland-Tujunga Chamber of Commerce, where, starting today, his chief deputy will hold open office hours once a month.

Scott, a former president of Pasadena City College, won his Assembly seat in November, defeating Republican incumbent Bill Hoge. His 44th Assembly District includes the Sunland-Tujunga community.

Scott’s chief deputy, William Goldmann, said the assemblyman was in the process of opening up sub-field offices throughout the district in an effort to make government more accessible to residents. Scott’s main field office is in Pasadena.

“The object is to make it a lot easier for people to communicate with our office and easier for them to communicate with state government,” Goldmann said.

Goldmann added that he would be available to meet with Sunland-Tujunga residents between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. on the last Thursday of each month. Residents may raise any topic of concern to the district or the state, he said.

The Sunland-Tujunga Chamber of Commerce is at 7314 Foothill Blvd., Tujunga. For more information, call Scott’s field office at (818) 577-9944.
