3 Dogs Maul, Kill Boy Waiting for Bus

Three dogs attacked and killed an 11-year-old Milford, Kan., boy trying to get on his school bus as his younger brother looked on and the terrified bus driver tried to summon help. Two people believed to be the owners of the dogs were arrested. Two of the dogs were destroyed and the third was being sought, officials said. Christopher Wilson apparently climbed a tree with his brother when the dogs approached. But Christopher climbed down when the bus arrived, despite warnings from his 8-year-old brother, witnesses said. “The bus driver is panicking,” said Caroline Stevens, a neighbor who saw the attack as she was driving to work and called 911. “She’s honking her horn. They couldn’t get the dogs off the kid.”
