Stern: First at the Summit

Share

It’s funny. You published a lengthy piece about the latest hip-hop discussion group and ignore the trend’s creator (“Rap Summit Is Called,” April 18).

Howard Stern held the original summit; in fact, he conceived it on the air. During a broadcast last month, he had hip-hop and rap artists in the studio and by telephone talking over the issues involved. I’ll bet he got down to more bottom-line truths than any of the record company CEOs will.

My point, though, is that all anyone really writes about is Howard the shock-jock. Fact is, Howard Stern is not only radio’s most creative talent; he may be the most creative entertainment personality in any media. (Didn’t he already tell you that?)
