Christopher Knight’s equating a cute design like Ed Ruscha’s “Annie Poured From Maple Syrup” with Jackson Pollock’s important historical painting “No. 1” is just plain silly (“Right Here, Right Now,” May 18).
Boosterism is heady stuff, but please, a little common sense.
