Vigilante update--After dropping their season opener, Mission Viejo won its next three games against Chico. Catcher/designated hitter Carl Nichols had seven hits in the team’s first three games; Sam Taylor had a big game Sunday with two home runs and a single, scoring three times.

Pepper update--Only six players return from last year’s 54-36 team, which last year won the first half Northern Division pennant. The Peppers made seven errors in the first three games this season.
