A & R Construction Corp. in Northridge has been awarded a $596,737 contract from Ventura County to build a drain at Wright Road and Santa Clara Avenue near Oxnard. The work, scheduled to begin June 12 and end in September, will close Wright Road for the entire project and Santa Clara Avenue for four days. Traffic will be detoured to Beardsley Road, and Central and Rose avenues.
* Crane Co. in Burbank won two contracts from the Defense Supply Center in Columbus, Ohio, one of $99,000 for electrical solenoids and another of $30,960 for valves, and a $33,228 contract from the Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, N.C., for directional valves.
* Valley Todeco Inc. of Sylmar won a $96,900 contract from the Defense Industrial Supply Center in Philadelphia for shoulder bolts.
* Westfield Hydraulics Inc. of Pacoima won a $78,370 contract from the Defense Supply Center in Columbus, for valves.
* Talley Corp. of Oxnard won a $76,706 contract from the Defense Supply Center in Columbus, for filter subassemblies.
* Senior Flexonics Inc. of Burbank won a $74,500 contract from the Defense General Supply Center in Richmond, Va., for aircraft and airframe structural components.
* Datron / Transco Inc. of Simi Valley won a $62,300 contract from the Defense Supply Center in Columbus, for antennas.
* ProWest Landscaping in Thousand Oaks has been awarded a $51,978 contract from Ventura County to plant trees and shrubs at Adams Barranca and Fagan Canyon debris basins in Santa Paula, Arundell Barranca Dam in Ventura and Beardsley Channel near Camarillo. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 19.
* International Precision Inc. of Chatsworth won a $45,134 contract from the Defense General Supply Center in Richmond, Va., for bushing assemblies.
* Crane Hydro Aire of Burbank won a $38,380 contract from the Defense General Supply Center in Richmond, Va., for pump overhaul parts kits.
* Hydra Electric in Burbank won a $34,018 contract from the Defense Supply Center in Columbus, for pressure switches.
* PTI Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of ESCO Electronics Corp. of Newbury Park, won a $32,008 contract from the Defense Supply Center in Columbus, for tubes coupling bodies.
* A / V Distributing in Palmdale won a $30,876 contract from the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center in Bremerton, Wash., for lighting fixtures and lamps.
* Van Petty Manufacturing Inc. of Newbury Park won a $28,626 contract from the Defense Industrial Supply Center in Philadelphia for machine bolts.
* Avibank Manufacturing Inc. of Burbank won a $28,333 contract from the Defense Industrial Supply Center in Philadelphia for pawl fasteners.
* Freedom Designs Inc. of Simi Valley won a $25,000 contract from the National Acquisition Center in Hines, Ill., for wheelchairs.
