Vigilantes Fall to Bend, 5-2

The Vigilantes continued their struggles on the road Thursday, losing, 5-2, in a Western League baseball game at Bend, Ore. It was the fourth loss in six road games for the Vigilantes (7-6).

Kevin Schula (El Dorado High) had a home run in the sixth inning that gave Bend a 4-1 lead. Mark Charbonnet had a double and a home run and two runs batted in the Bandits (6-7).

Alan Burke had a run-scoring single in the sixth and Mike Moutrey added a sacrifice fly in the ninth for the Vigilantes.

Losing pitcher Scott Singleton (2-1) gave up eight hits and four runs, three earned, in seven innings.
