Spotlight: When ‘Push’ Comes to Drugs

Reuters Holdings subsidiary Tibco Software and Palo Alto-based Incyte Pharmaceuticals said they will collaborate on a “push” computing system to direct news on drug developments to scientists. Incyte, which is sequencing human genes for a genomic database, said the system will enable it to better deliver its information. “We believe the combination . . . will become a new standard in bioinformatics,” said Dr. Randy Scott, Incyte’s president and chief scientific officer.
