Robber Sought in B of A Holdup

Share

The FBI is looking for a man who robbed an Oxnard bank Wednesday morning using a demand note.

Described as having a mustache and wearing a black cap, tan long-sleeve shirt and black pants, the man entered the Bank of America branch at 2475 S. Saviers Road and handed a teller a note demanding money, said Special Agent Gary Auer, who supervises the FBI’s Ventura office.

The man showed no weapon during the robbery and escaped on foot across Saviers Road, Auer said. Based on the handwriting and content of the note, the FBI believes that this is the suspect’s first bank robbery in Ventura County.

This is the first bank robbery in Oxnard this year, but it is the 15th in the county, which includes an April 29 Thousand Oaks bank robbery in which a teller was shot and killed. The suspects are still at large in that case.
