Four Oxnard men were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after a gang fight early Sunday morning in east Ventura left two others in the hospital with serious stab wounds, police said.
David Claudio, 20, and Mario Mendez, 23, were reported in fair condition Sunday at Ventura County Medical Center. Both were stabbed and one of the two was hit in the head with a brick, police said.
Their alleged assailants, Sergio Carrillo, 26; Gerardo Carrillo, 21; Dominick Reyes, 20; and Jamie Ambriz, 20, were booked into the Ventura County Jail.
Police responded to numerous calls of a disturbance at Citrus Drive and Wells Road shortly after midnight Saturday to find one of the two injured men still at the scene and a vehicle racing from the area.
