Cancer Foundation to Hold Fund-Raiser

The Beckstrand Cancer Foundation will hold a fund-raiser Saturday for programs that aim to improve and enhance the quality of life of cancer patients and their families.
The event, a beach party at the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station at 800 Seal Beach Blvd., will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $4 for children.
A barbecue lunch, music by the Calypso Compromise Steel Band, a treasure hunt and other activities will be included.
Proceeds will benefit the 22-year-old nonprofit foundation’s programs.
