Nancy Parker, former president of the Santa Ana-based Winchell’s doughnut chain, has surfaced in Buffalo, N.Y., where she recently was named president of Sportservice Corp., the sports concessions subsidiary of Delaware North Cos.

Parker succeeded Michael Thompson, who resigned from the $220-million company eight months ago. Parker told Nation’s Restaurant News magazine that her “first priority will be to get out into the field and learn the business.”

Parker, who resigned as Winchell’s president in early July after five years on the job, was credited with helping the 300-unit chain regain its financial health after a 1992 bankruptcy filing.
