LaBelle visits ‘Cosby’; ‘AAAHH!’ season begins; HBO looks at the bond between two teen boys

In the season premiere of AAAHH!!! Real Monsters (Nickelodeon, Sunday at 11:30 a.m.), a group of “cool” girl monsters avoids Oblina, who is obsessed with following the rules. She transforms herself into a rebel but then finds that being obsessive about breaking the rules is equally as alienating. For ages 5 to 11.

Singer Patti LaBelle guest stars on Cosby (CBS, Monday at 8 p.m.). LaBelle plays a singer who has gained a worldwide reputation and returns to town to visit Ruth, her old high school pal. Ruth had passed on a chance to become a singer but is given a chance to sing with this international superstar. Keisa Knight Pulliam, who starred as the youngest Huxtable daughter, Rudy, in “The Cosby Show,” makes an appearance as a guitarist. For the family.

Back-to-back episodes mark the season premiere of Moesha (UPN, Tuesday 8 and 8:30 p.m.) In the first, Moesha (Brandy) is uptight because Frank (William Allen Young) has bought tickets for the family to attend a Labor Day fund-raiser at the private school Moesha will soon enter. Michael J. Fox, Sally Field, and Ralph Waite are some of the actors providing the animal voices in Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco (Disney Channel, Saturday at 7 p.m.). In the sequel to “Homeward Bound,” three domesticated pets, Sassy (Fields), Chance (Fox) and Shadow (Waite), get loose at the San Francisco airport as their family flies away. The trio heads for the Golden Gate Bridge and their home, sharing their thoughts with the audience as they travel through the city. For the family.
