Tim Wallace’s two-out RBI single in the top of the 10th inning sparked Sonoma County to a 4-3 victory over the Vigilantes in a Western League baseball game Saturday night at Saddleback College.

David Mowry of the Crushers hit a leadoff double in the top of the 10th, scoring the winning run on Wallace’s single.

Vigilante starting pitcher Paul Anderson, who relies heavily on a split-finger fastball, developed a blister in the second inning and had to leave the game with Mission Viejo leading, 1-0.

The Vigilantes made it 2-0 in the third inning on a sacrifice fly by Corey Parker that drove in Willie Mosher.

In the fourth inning, Sonoma County right fielder Carter Masterson hit a solo home run off reliever John Homan to cut the lead to 2-1.

Jon Fuller gave the Crushers (26-17) their first lead of the game with a two-out, two-run home run in the top of the fifth.

The Vigilantes battled back in the bottom of the inning, when Bret Barberie’s double drove in Mike Cowell, who had reached base on an error by shortstop John Casey, tying the score, 3-3.

Barberie led the 11-hit attack for the Vigilantes, going three for four with a run and an RBI.

The teams combined for 23 hits and each team stranded 11 runners.

The Vigilantes fall to 20-23 in the second half and 38-50 overall.

The series concludes with two games Sunday, the first at 1:05 p.m. and the second at 5:05. Each game has a separate admission charge.
