Red Cross to Offer Classes in 2 Cities
Lessons in first aid--ranging from basic to comprehensive--are being offered in Simi Valley and Ventura by the American Red Cross.
The seven-hour standard first aid class will teach how to meet federal health guidelines and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It will be taught in one-day classes Dec. 12, 18 and 30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 2355 Portola Road in Ventura. A course taught in Spanish will be held today and Dec. 9 from 5:30 to 10 p.m.
Courses will be held in Simi Valley on today and Dec. 9 from 6 to 10 p.m. and Dec. 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1919 Williams St., No. 200.
The Red Cross also is offering a four-hour basic first aid class on Dec. 17 at the Ventura location and on Dec. 18 in Simi Valley, both from 6 to 10 p.m.
The most comprehensive class, called Community First Aid and Safety, will be held Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Dec. 16 and 23 from 5:30 to 10 p.m. in Ventura. In Simi Valley, the course will be held Dec. 13 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Dec. 15 and 22 from 5:30 to 10 p.m.
