The Irvine office of the Shidler Group recently acquired a vacant 172,000-square-foot office and distribution building at 12 Whatney Drive in the Irvine Spectrum for $10 million, according to Mike Hartel of the Seeley Co. Hartel, along with Pat Kendall, represented Shidler in the deal. The building’s seller, Subaru, was represented by Henry Johnson and Rick Putnam of Trammell Crow.

One of the largest industrial buildings in Torrance, a 308,000-square-foot warehouse previously belonging to paint maker Standard Brands, was recently acquired by Lafayette, Calif.-based ZKS Real Estate Partners for $5.6 million, according to David Prior, president of the Klabin Co. The building, located at 4240 W. 190th St., will be sectioned into spaces of at least 100,000 square feet and leased.

California Industrial Properties has purchased an eight-building business park in Garden Grove from KWP Financial Group, a subsidiary of Kennedy Wilson International, for $4.8 million. The 89,000-square-foot park is located at 13841 to 13882 A Better Way and 11681 to 11721 Westminster Ave. Mike Hefner of Voit Commercial Brokerage in Anaheim represented both buyer and seller in the deal.
