Brinker to Open 10 New Mexican Restaurants

Brinker International, one of the nation’s largest restaurant companies, said Thursday that it plans to open 10 On the Border Mexican restaurants in Southern California.

The first outlet will open later this month in Aliso Viejo, the company said. The 290-seat eatery, at 2661 Aliso Creek Road, will offer traditional Mexican dinner fare and employ about 120 people. It is being opened by franchisee Metro Border of Rancho Santa Margarita, which will open nine more restaurants over the next five years.

Dallas-based Brinker operates 51 On the Border restaurants in 19 states and has an additional 694 eateries worldwide under such flags as Chili’s Grill & Bar, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, Cozymel’s, Maggiano’s Little Italy and the Corner Bakery.
