Killer of Yorba Linda Teen Sought
Police are asking for help in finding the killer of a Yorba Linda teen stabbed in Corona early last Sunday.
Alan Doyle, 16, was with friends at a Del Taco in Corona when they got into an argument with another group, Corona police said. Doyle and his friends walked away from the area, but the others drove to the Corona Mall and caught up with them, police said.
It was just after 1 a.m. when police say a young man jumped out of the car and stabbed Doyle in the stomach. Doyle died at Riverside General Hospital about two hours later.
Police said the suspect is Peter Gallardo Espinoza, 18. They describe him as a gang member from Corona who is 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 215 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and the number 13 tattooed on the middle finger of his left hand.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Corona police at (909) 736-2330.
