It All Depends on Good Writing

Funny people doing funny material will always be funny, just as good actors in good scripts will give good performances (“The Joke’s on Comics Who Don’t Change,” Counterpunch, Nov. 24). That’s the only “formula” that works. There’s no need to demean the talents of any performer as passe. Just give them better scripts.
