Germanophobia?

What is the editorial intent behind publishing James Prideaux’s demonization of the British monarchy by attacking their purported ethnic origin (Saturday Letters, Dec. 6)? Prideaux utilizes the propagandist’s art to ventilate his churlish Germanophobia in a public forum.
Other than Germans, the only other ethnic group that comes to mind that is fair game for this type of abuse are Arabs. You can’t get away with this technique against the Irish, Italians, Latinos, African Americans, etc., and I suggest in the interest of maturity we apply the rule universally.
