Obituaries : E.J.A. Miller; Retired Copy Editor for New York Times

E.J.A. Miller, retired copy editor, died Friday at his home in Thousand Oaks after a lengthy illness. He was 69.

Miller was born July 18, 1928, in Detroit, and lived in Ventura County for seven years.

He worked in the newspaper industry for 40 years, having last worked as a copy editor for the New York Times.

Miller enjoyed animals and was a member of the Lynn Ranch Horseman’s Assn.

He is survived by his partner of 31 years, Richard J. Villegas of Thousand Oaks.

Visitation will be Monday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the Islands, Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, in Camarillo.

A chapel service will be held at 11:30 a.m. and burial will follow.

Arrangements are under the direction of Conejo Mountain Memorial Park & Funeral Home, Camarillo.
