Village and Creative Travel Firms to Merge

Village Travel and Creative Travel, both in Westlake Village, will consolidate their operations at the beginning of next year.
Village Travel, established in 1968, has been owned by Tom and Vicki Merkens since 1986. Marlene Walsh has owned and operated Creative Travel since 1982.
“In today’s environment of severely curtailed compensation from the airlines, the economies of volume and opportunities for increased leisure sales make this a timely move for us both,” Tom Merkens said.
The combined agencies will operate under the Village Travel name.
