Trumpeter Bobby Rodriguez has just released “A Latin Jazz Christmas” on JMI records, a rhythmic holiday album that recasts “Jingle Bells” as a samba, “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” as a cha-cha-cha and “Silent Night” as a bolero. Rodriguez and his band of Santa’s helpers promise a little salsa in their season’s greetings when they play this family-oriented program.

Visit Monrovia’s lovely Anderson House Museum decorated for a Christmas Open House. Tour the Victorian house, filled with early Monrovia memorabilia and 1900s household items. The program is presented by the Monrovia Historical Society.

The concert will also feature “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” and “Bring a Torch Jeanette Isabella,” plus a sing-along.
