Pico Products’ Numbers Down, CEO Optimism Up

Pico Products Inc. posted a net profit of $4,019 in its first quarter that ended Oct. 31, compared to a profit of $100,853 in the same period a year earlier.
Sales in the latest quarter fell 16% to $8.2 million, down from sales of $9.7 million a year ago.
But the company’s chief executive, Charles Emley Jr., said the latest quarter was the beginning of a turnaround and the company’s operating income of $469,000 in the quarter was up 37% from a year ago.
Pico Products, based in Lake View Terrace, is a manufacturer of electronic systems and components used in the cable TV and telecommunications industries.
