Idaho State Coach Hospitalized
Idaho State Coach Herb Williams went through an angioplasty at a Nampa, Idaho, hospital to clear blockage in an artery.
Williams was hospitalized after Tuesday night’s 83-63 victory over Idaho in Nampa after complaining of chest pains. He was taken by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center and held overnight for tests and observation.
Doctors said that one of the arteries had small blockages, and spasms probably caused by stress made Williams experience the same type of pain he would feel if he had had a heart attack.

No. 10 South Carolina will be without point guard Melvin Watson for two to three weeks because of a sprained right knee. Watson was injured in Tuesday night’s victory over South Carolina State.
