Stories for Children to Be Read at Library
Still in the Christmas spirit? “The After Christmas Tree” will be read and brought to life today at Santa Ana Central Library.
Library storyteller Nancy Montgomery will read that and other stories at 10:30 a.m. The main story tells of a family that finds another use for its tree after Christmas by decorating it with food to feed animals.
To bring the story by Linda Wagner Tyler to life, visitors can make pine cone bird feeders after the storytelling session.
The feeders are made by rolling pine cones in peanut butter and birdseed, Montgomery said. People can bring the feeders home or hang them outside the library.
The event is free. The library is at 26 Civic Center Plaza.
