Fluor Daniel Signs Contract to Advise ADNOC-Borealis

IRVINE — Fluor Corp.’s principal subsidiary, Fluor Daniel Inc., said Monday it has signed a management consulting contract for ADNOC-Borealis’ petrochemical complex in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates.
Project and contract values were not disclosed.
Fluor Daniel’s Petroleum & Petrochemicals operating company will provide project management, design, engineering, procurement and construction consulting services for a world-scale ethylene unit, two polyethylene units and associated utilities and off-site facilities. Work is underway in Fluor Daniel’s Camberley, U.K., office.
The joint venture is owned 60% by ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Co.) and 40% by Borealis. Borealis is the largest producer of polyolefin plastics in Europe and the fifth largest worldwide.
