A climber was evacuated from Mt. McKinley on Sunday after he fell on his ice ax while traveling on the peak’s Muldrow Glacier, the National Park Service said.

Jon Geisen of New York City injured his chest in the fall late Saturday night, officials said.

The accident occurred at the 12,500-foot level of the 20,320-foot peak. After the evacuation, Geisen was flown to an Anchorage hospital, where he was treated and released.
