Free Concert Series Kicks Off With Country Music
A free concert, the first in a series, will be Wednesday at the Brea Dam.
Hired Guns, a country music band, will entertain at 6:30 p.m. in the recreational area of the dam, 1600 N. Harbor Blvd.
Other activities also will be featured for children.
Sponsored by the Fullerton Community Services Department, the concerts are being billed as family gatherings.
Parking will be available in the structure behind the National Sports Bar and Grill and at the Golf Training Center on Harbor Boulevard.
Free shuttle bus service will be available as well.
Families are encouraged to bring picnic dinners and lawn chairs or blankets, organizers said.
Other concerts scheduled this month will be by Film at Eleven, a band that plays 1960s and 1970s music, on July 16; Steel Drum Experience, a Fullerton College band, on July 23; and Gremoli, a New Orleans style jazz band, on July 30.
