Your July 4 editorial that says the insurance commissioner’s job should stay elective because it was a decision of the voters is way off base. The voters were not voting for an elected commissioner when they passed Prop. 103. The voters were looking for the return of 20% of premiums that 103 promised them. I suspect many didn’t even realize they were voting for an elected commissioner.
