11 Palestinians Hurt in Hebron Clashes

Israeli troops wounded at least 11 Arabs during clashes in Hebron as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Palestinians that they would pay dearly if violence continued. Witnesses said troops fired rubber-coated metal bullets and live ammunition at Palestinians throwing rocks and gasoline bombs. “Our aim is to prevent a deterioration, but if there will be a deterioration on the other side, it will have a very high price,” Netanyahu told his Cabinet ministers, according to a statement issued after their meeting. Hebron has been a scene of almost daily unrest for more than two weeks. Several soldiers have been hurt.
