Zodiac Signs Former Galaxy Defender

The Zodiac has signed defender John Jones to a contract, the team announced Wednesday.
Jones, who played in three games for the Zodiac this season on loan from the Galaxy, was released by the MLS team and cleared waivers July 1.
The Zodiac hopes the addition of Jones will bolster its defense, which has been hurt by injuries and the promotion of Peter Lak to the Galaxy. The Zodiac (6-10) will host the Orlando SunDogs at 5 p.m. Sunday at Santa Ana Stadium.
