Schools Will Share $86,000 for Libraries
The city school district’s libraries have been awarded more than $86,000 in grants from the California Public School Library Protection Fund.
Nearly every school in the district will receive $4,792. A larger amount, $9,579, will go to Hillview High School, said Connie Newhan, library media specialist. Money for the grants came from voluntary contributions last year to the Library Protection Fund through checkoffs on the state income-tax form.
