Sewer Line Repairs to Begin at State Beach

Repairs of a sewer line at Bolsa Chica State Beach soon will begin.
Leakage problems with the sewer line were discovered last year by the Sanitation Districts of Orange County.
Dozens of cracks in the line were detected. As a result, two-thirds of the beach was declared off-limits to surfers, swimmers and waders until the sewer line was temporarily fixed.
Permanent repairs now will be done on the 2 1/2-mile underground line serving the beach restrooms. Completion of the project is expected in late October.
Meanwhile, the restrooms and some parking spaces will be closed.
