Medical Center Appoints New CEO

Dale Surowitz has been appointed chief executive officer of the Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center, hospital officials announced.
Surowitz, who holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from UC Berkeley and a master’s degree in public administration from USC, replaces Arnold Schaeffer, who left to take a position at Glendale Memorial Hospital.
Previously, Surowitz headed the North Hollywood Medical Center, worked as administrator for the Doctors’ Hospital of Montclair and Ontario Community Hospital, and was assistant administrator for the Redding Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.
