Three candidates were selected Tuesday for principal positions at Ventura Unified School District campuses.
Teresa Johnson, an assistant principal at Taft Elementary School in Riverside, was named the new principal at Portola Elementary. Ken Magdaleno, a guidance counselor at Royal High in Simi Valley, will join Montalvo Elementary School. And Larry Emrich, currently an assistant principal at Ventura High School, will be promoted to the top job at Ventura High.
Board members unanimously approved the candidates suggested by Supt. Joseph Spirito. They will all begin in the fall semester.
