Driver Leads Officers on Hourlong Freeway Chase
A man in a blue Ford Mustang led police and California Highway Patrol officers on a daring chase along Southland freeways for nearly an hour Thursday before giving up in a Downey parking lot.
He was taken into custody in a lot off Lakewood Boulevard. During the chase, he threw a bag out on a freeway that was later retrieved as evidence by officers.
Shortly before the man was arrested, he rammed into a car to get it out of an intersection. He was not immediately identified.
