Bullfrogs Roll Past Roadrunners for 11-5 Victory
Glenn Stewart scored three goals and David Goverde had 45 saves to help the Bullfrogs to an 11-5 victory over the Montreal Roadrunners in a Roller Hockey International game Thursday night at Molson Center in Montreal.
The Bullfrogs improved to 9-9 and remain in third place in the RHI’s Western Conference.
The Roadrunners (6-8-4) scored first on Daniel Gauthier’s goal 51 seconds in the game. But Stewart came back to score three goals in 1 1/2 minutes for a 3-1 Bullfrog lead in the first quarter. The Bullfrogs increased their lead to 7-1, but two goals by the Roadrunners made the score 7-3 at the end of the first half.
The Bullfrogs’ power-play was effective, scoring on five of seven chances.
