Hells Angel Also Has Caring Side

Share

Regarding the article “Biker Run-Ins Typical of Some Recruits, Police Say” (July 13) by Times staff writer Daryl Kelley, in particular in regard to Todd Martin:

Here’s my story on Todd Martin. I have had the pleasure of knowing Todd and his father for a number of years and they have always been caring and supportive of me and my life.

I suffered a major drug relapse after a period of 16 years of total abstinence and was jobless and homeless and hungry. Todd and his father took me on as an employee, helped me secure a spot in a drug recovery program in Oxnard and bought me food to eat. Which was a hell of a lot more than my own family would do for me.

I applaud the Hells Angels motorcycle club if these are the morals and values taught to its younger members by the current older members. Thank God for Todd Martin because he has made a difference in my life.
