Arco Clerk Slain; $25,000 Offered for Leads in Killing
A convenience store attendant was shot to death during a robbery in Bellflower early Tuesday, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
The 35-year-old man, whose name was not released, died of a gunshot to the upper body about 12:30 a.m. at an Alondra Boulevard Arco AM/PM Minimart, Sheriff’s Deputy Bob Kileen said.
Arco has offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the gunman, whom authorities believe to be a 6-foot-tall, 150- to 160-pound man recorded on the store’s videotape. The suspect is described as a Latino in his mid-20s with a thin mustache and short dark, wavy hair who was wearing a red and white striped shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call sheriff’s investigators at (213) 890-5500.
