Knee Injury Sidelines Rams’ Pace

St. Louis Ram tackle Orlando Pace, the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft, will be out for one to three weeks with an injury to his right knee. Coach Dick Vermeil that the 6-foot-7, 330-pound Pace had partially torn a tendon in last Sunday’s game at Atlanta.

Pace was forced to quit practice Thursday because the knee was sore and an examination Friday by team physician Robert Shively revealed the tear.

Pace has played in nine games this season, starting the last five.
