UCI Professor Heads Mental Health Assn.
The Mental Health Assn. of Orange County has named UC Irvine professor Rimal B. Bera president of its board of directors for a two-year term.
Bera is an associate clinical professor of psychiatry at UCI, director of UCI Medical Center’s Inpatient Clinical Services at the UCI Neuropsychiatric Center and chief of its Adult Inpatient Research Unit.
As association president, Bera will be responsible for overseeing the board that governs the largest mental health organization in the county. He will also work with local and state governments in areas of mental health policy.
