Updates--A week after a loss to Seattle, the StingRays look to bounce back this afternoon against the Rage. Long Beach is 1-0 against the Rage, having won, 98-72, at Philadelphia two weeks ago. Philadelphia has lost three consecutive games and six of its last seven. Philadelphia’s most productive players are Dawn Staley, La’Keshia Frett and Adrienne Goodson, who each scored 18 at Portland. Long Beach, loser of three of its last four, has a new player in Niesa Johnson, who was obtained Thursday in a trade with Atlanta for guard Nicky McCrimmon and a first-round draft pick. Johnson reported Friday but isn’t expected to play today.
