Update--New Hornet Coach Tom Abatemarco will start the season with junior forward Sean Houston, the team’s top returning scorer (8 points per game) and rebounder (6.4) and Tad Hoogenbosch, a 6-foot-11, 240-pound center, who broke his leg and missed most of last season. USC Coach Henry Bibby said that he was happy with the play of his freshman but disappointed with some of the “older guys” in the Trojans’ 98-76 loss Tuesday to New Mexico. One of the returning players Bibby said did perform well was sophomore forward Jarvis Turner, who scored 18 points on seven-of-12 shooting and hauled in five rebounds.
