USC Coach Henry Bibby announced this year’s recruiting class and said that he believes their talent level should rank them among the top 10 classes nationally.
Sam Clancy, a 6-7, 240-pound forward from St. Edwards High in Lakewood, Ohio, has been rated in the top 20 nationally by recruiting analyst Bob Gibbons and Los Angeles-based Recruiting USA lists Clancy, the son of former Indianapolis Colt defensive end Sam Clancy Sr., the eighth-best power forward in the country.
The other players the Trojans signed to letters of intent are 6-7 forward David Bluthenthal of Westchester High, and two junior college players: Guard Quincy Wilder and 6-9 forward Brian Scalabrine from Highline College in Des Moines, Wash.
