Coach Pierre Page, unhappy with Monday’s 5-0 loss in Dallas, is not sure he has the answer.

“We know you have to be patient against them, but we just didn’t have the right frame of mind like we did [Saturday] in St. Louis,” he said. “I don’t know the solution.

“We had the charter [flight from St. Louis] and we arrived here before Dallas did. Why do you take a charter? To get ready and get an edge. But they played with the kind of patience and intensity we need to show.”

Right wing Scott Young was a late scratch when he decided after warming up that he was unable to play on his sore right foot. Young was hit in the foot with the puck Saturday night in St. Louis. . . . Defenseman J.J. Daigneault took a shot on the outside of his left knee and was limping noticeably after the game.
