Memorial Planned for Writer Paul Jarrico
A gathering of friends in memory of Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Paul Jarrico is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Dec. 7 at the Writers Guild Theater, 135 S. Doheny Drive.
Jarrico, 82, died Oct. 28 in a one-car accident as he was driving home to Ojai from a luncheon honoring blacklisted writers. He was nominated for an Oscar in 1941 for the screenplay “Tom, Dick and Harry.”
Among those honoring Jarrico will be his widow, Lia Benedetti Jarrico; his son, Bill Jarrico, and his former wife, Sylvia Gussin Jarrico.
The family has asked that honorary contributions be made to the Paul Jarrico Memorial Fund, Box 1127, Ojai, CA 93023.
